Depicts a boy and child on a horse with a peasant girl holding its leads in shallow water. It bears the signature, "d'Entraygues, 1887", and a plaque inscribed, "Salon 1887".

Carles- Bertrand d'Entraygues, a French artist, born 1851 in Brives. He was a painter of genre scenes and landscapes. A student of Pils, he debuted at the Paris Salon of 1876 with his painting l'Embarras du Choix and obtained an honorable mention in 1899. He became a member of the Society of French Artists in 1904. His works to this day are highly admired and appreciated by collectors.
